The Pictographs and Ruins of Canyonlands
Canyon lands National Park still belongs to ancient people. The evidence of the Anasazi are all around us, as pictographs painted on the canyon walls, orange and yellow handprints, which make me wonder: exactly who's handprints are those? I could wonder that all day. They'd tucked their houses and grain storage buildings into the tightest of drainages and up to the edge of precipitous cliff ledges. Their building skills were amazing, considering some of the storage rooms and houses are still perfectly intact eight hundred years after their construction. How many of the houses we live in will be standing in eight hundred years?
