Wire Pass

Wire Pass leads into Buckskin Gulch, the world’s longest slot canyon. Hundreds of years ago, at the junction of those two canyons, Anasazi hunters pecked images of bighorn sheep on the pink sandstone walls. Hundreds of years later, Kenton and I squeezed through the stone passages, walking underneath wedged trees, which highlighted the tsunami-force flash floods that occasionally have torn through these dry canyons.
